Someone has graciously uploaded a deleted scene from season two of DALLAS featuring Mitch. Here it is.

According to Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing) in an interview with the Huffington Post, DALLAS season three returns in January 2014. Which means we’ll get to see what happens to Harris and whether he can outsmart John Ross (Josh Henderson) and get his company back from spoiled brat Emma (Emma Bell). We’ll also see the return of Harris’ mother, Judith (Judith Light). Can hardly wait.

As promised, here is the media for the final two episodes of season two of DALLAS. I still don’t know what to make out of the finale. I was hoping Cythia Cidre wouldn’t go full hog on making Harris a full blown villain. Certainly the way Mitch was playing so much subtext. I was also hoping with Judith (Judith Light) out of the picture, we’d see more of Harris’ backbone in terms of how he conducted himself. And can I say how absolutely I hate with a passion Emma and Ann (Emma Bell and Brenda Strong). I just wanted to smack the smirk off of her face in the jailhouse scene. What bothers me is that Ann was convicted of attempted murder of Harris, yet who is the one in prison? Yeah, so what. Harris was doing illegal stuff, but I really don’t think Cidre has thought this through. She’s sort of taken the punch out of the character with him being so easy to manipulate and in a way, fall. Though Cidre in a just released interview stated this:

Keck’s Exclusives: Dallas Finale Burning Questions

TV Guide Magazine: What is in Ryland’s briefcase that Emma stole for John Ross?
Cidre: We have discussed that ad nauseum and have a lot of ideas. There is a lot of fun stuff in there.

TV Guide Magazine: Are Cliff, Ryland and Drew all gone from the show?
Cidre: Oh gosh, no.

TV Guide Magazine: What are you being told about a third season?
Cidre: Nothing except, ‘Hang in there; we love you.’

TV Guide Magazine: Why is the decision taking so damn long?
Cidre: There are some TNT negotiations. I don’t think it’s personal. They couldn’t be nicer to us.

TV Guide Magazine: What are you hoping to explore in a third season?
Cidre: Obviously the Elena/Joaquin relationship. John Ross and Pamela’s marriage. John Ross/Emma. Emma/Judith. Judith/Ryland. Christopher without Elena.

TV Guide Magazine: Any new characters you’re conceptualizing?
Cidre: Ann has to have relatives we haven’t met yet. She may have a brother.

While she may have Harris in her future plans for DALLAS, I don’t see how she can strip away the taint that is on the character. My hope was he be above the Ewing/Barnes feud. For the most part Bobby (Patrick Duffy) framed an innocent man of murder, yet Harris gets shot and cannot get a win against the Ewings. And I mean seriously, did they have to redo Mitch as Hoarce Pinker in SHOCKER? Enough bitching.

Here finally is the clip and screencaps for the last episode. So sorry these are a day late. I’ve been having computer problems that are a major pain in the you-know-where. I’m hoping you liked Harris’ finally getting the better of Judith. It was about time. I’d almost hazard to say Harris is an abused child judging by the way he was almost obsequious to her. I did love the final scene with Harris and Emma (Emma Bell). I think we might start to see a different Harris in the four remaining episodes. Which by the way the next two weeks are going to be double headers. Just thought I’d give you the heads up.

According to Cynthia Cidre the Executive Producer of DALLAS there were some things left on the cutting room floor of the finale, including another scene with Harris. Here’s what Cidre had to say as well as a hint as to what is going to happen regarding this storyline, specifically, the daughter Ann (Brenda Strong) has is indeed Harris’. This hopefully will provide more for Mitch next season.

TV Guide Magazine: There was a scene shot for the finale with Ann’s ex-husband, Harris Ryland, phoning their daughter, who was kidnapped as a baby, to tell her it was time she met her mother. But you cut that scene out. Why?
Cidre: First of all, it didn’t have a strong enough build-up for what a [powerful] reveal it was, so it felt kind of lame. But way more importantly, I want to reveal that in Season 2. Why give it up at the end of Season 1? So we’ll be going there big time when we return.

TV Guide Magazine: So this girl will be a major character next year and could possibly be a love interest for the boys?
Cidre: Yes. Her name is Emma. And we’re hoping she’s a blonde because for some reason, a lot of people have been confused by [brunettes] Elena and Rebecca.

The daughter’s name is Emma. I would have loved to have seen my girl Tamara Braun play this part, but she just got a long-term gig on the show NECESSARY ROUGHNESS where she’s scheduled to play the little sister of the lead character. Damn, there goes my dream of ever having Mitch and Tamara work together. And Tamara’s a blonde too.
