It’s been announced by Zap2it News that the premiere of SUPERNATURAL‘s mid-season premiere has been pushed back one week and it will air 04 February 2011. More below the cut:

‘Smallville’ and ‘Supernatural’ postponed: Mid-season premieres pushed back one weekBy Carina Adly MacKenzie

January 27, 2011 5:35 PM ET

That noise you just heard was the anguished cry of fangirls and (and fanboys — sorry, didn’t mean to leave you guys out) en masse. The CW announced on Thursday afternoon that the expected Friday, Jan. 28 mid-season premieres of “Smallville” and “Supernatural” will be postponed for one week to air Friday, Feb. 4 instead.

On Jan. 28, re-runs of “The Vampire Diaries” and “Nikita” will air in the 8 p.m. EST and 9 p.m. EST slots.

We’re sad too. Don’t they know that a week is actually two years in hellatus time?

As to why the network made the change? [Update] Contrary to rumors, it’s not about possible cancellations. The CW hopes that re-airing the “The Vampire Diaries” in a timeslot that doesn’t compete with ratings juggernaut “American Idol” will help to boost total viewership.

The last-minute move is not about testing out “Vampire Diaries” and “Nikita” on Friday nights, so don’t worry — your schedule isn’t going to change. There is no danger that “Smallville” and “Supernatural” will be canceled mid-season or pulled off the schedule before Clark gets his cape and Sam gets his soul.

Ultimately, the decision is about making sure all of the excellent mid-season premieres get seen by as many people as possible.

Next Wednesday, Feb. 2, the network will air “Smallville” and “Supernatural” repeats of “Icarus” and “Appointment in Samarra,” so you can be all caught up for the series’ returns.

We’ll keep you posted as more information surfaces. In the meantime, you can check out a first look clip of Chloe’s return to “Smallville” in “Collateral” and our advance review of “Supernatural’s” return “Like A Virgin.”

We know. That doesn’t make you feel any better at all.

This means that Mitch’s return episode, E6X13 Unforgiven will also be pushed back a week. This means it won’t air until 11 February 2011. All I can say is this sucks. I was so looking foward to seeing Mitch in two weeks, not to mention I was looking forward to seeing the newly Re-Soulled Sammy. Not to forget I was looking foward to seeing Sampa (sortened form of Samuel Grampa) next week. SUPERNATURAL fans just can’t get no love.

Just wanted to let you know that I’ve upgraded the gallery to a newer version of the Coppermine database. It’s brand spanking new and souped up. I really hope you like it. I know I do. Enjoy.

Okay, so while I was watching the repeat of SUPERNATURAL‘s episode 6X10 – Caged Heat on the WB last Friday, I realized I’d missed a scene with Mitch toward the end. When Dean (Jensen Ackles) is taken from the cage where Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) had stowed Sammy (Jared Padalecki) in the adjacent cell, Samuel is standing there witnessing as Crowley’s two goon demons are about to take Dean to be lunch for a couple of ghouls. Apparently I’m not as observant as I thought. There are about 49 more screencaps I’m adding to the Caged Heat album in the gallery. I’ll be amending the clip to reflect the missing scene. Plus, I have some HQ stills and behind the scenes images I’ll be adding to the gallery when I get around to sorting them. So for now, here’s the missing scene.

I received a spoiler about Mitch’s next SUPERNATURAL episode. It’ll be in E6X13 – Unforgiven. Read below:

“SUPERNATURAL” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)
“Unforgiven” (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)
Airdate: 04 February 2011

DEAN FINDS OUT ABOUT SAM’S LIFE WHEN HE HUNTED WITH SAMUEL — Sam (Jared Padalecki) starts to have flashbacks to a case he worked on with Samuel (guest star Mitch Pileggi) before he reconnected with Dean (Jensen Ackles). Sam receives a mysterious text with coordinates to a small town, so the brothers decide to investigate. Dean is surprised when the townspeople start telling him some of the things Sam did while he lived there. David Barrett directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb & Daniel Loflin

Sounds good.

I’d like to take this time to wish all of Mitch’s fans a happy and healthy 2011. It’s hard to believe it’s 2011. Of course we’re all looking forward to 28 January when SUPERNATURAL makes its return and we get to see more of Mitch. Take care all. Be safe.

Yours, Dianne
